I'm very sad that summer will be over soon (even though it's been unusually hot and windy and we've had a lot of smoke) because winter hits about mid October/early November, and it lasts SEVEN MONTHS. And I hate winter with a burning passion 😭 summer is pretty much the only time of year we can do anything 🥲
Ok fair. Where I’m from it’s hot most of the year and winter is pretty short and mild. That’s a very long winter, do you live in Alaska? 😂 (I have cousins from there and they usually only have about 2 months of the year in which they can grow a garden. lol)
As a fellow resident of the north, I agree here! Summer is such a relief after going through like 6 months of brutally cold temperatures and mounds and mounds of unmerciful snow.
I only like the first 10 days or so of winter because that includes Christmas and New Year's. 🤭
Wow yeah, that was quite a while ago. Time goes by so quickly. I literally was just thinking like a week ago how it's been over 2 years since we started that group.
I've been doing pretty good. Ngl, 2026 has been a rather difficult year with lots of changes. But God has been good in so many ways.
The past couple of weeks have been busier than summer usually is for me because I'm preparing to go to college for the first time this semester. It seems really overwhelming tbh. But also kind of exciting because I know that I'll be studying what I enjoy and developing my talents and interests to use for God's glory.
Wow. I didn’t realize it’s been that long. I still go use it as a resource to look at recommendations people posted in the past.
That’s good to hear!
Ooo college. Nice! What are you studying?
Doing pretty good! Some big changes coming up in the next few months, I’m not going to college but I’m moving 12 hrs away for a year of service so that’s kinda unreal. Super excited tho!
Yeah. I've been thinking about trying to post book recommendations in the group again.
So, I'm planning on either going for an English degree (which would also include studies in history and literature) or choosing an individual studies degree, combining English and history studies into one custom degree study. It'll all depend upon what what college I choose to attend out of the two I'm currently deciding about. The one offers a degree in English but would be a very long drive; the other is a lot closer but doesn't offer an English degree. I have an appointment at the college that's closer within the next few days to talk with an academic advisor and tour the campus. Then after getting all the info and stuff, I'll decide which college to attend. But either way it'll definitely be English, history, and literature (which I absolutely love all three!)
Glad to hear! 🙂
Oh, so it's official! That's quite the distance to move. But it's good that it's something you're excited to be doing. I'll definitely be praying for you!
Yep, that's the South all right 🥲 nope I'm in Wyoming, but close enough lol (Wyoming doesn't actually exist). I don't think I'd mind the winter quite as much of it wasn't for the AWFULl wind.

Fair fair.
It’s been like ages since I’ve heard from you. Since we kinda shut down Timeless Pages. How’ve you been??

Sounds like some big decisions but that sounds awesome!
Yep it’s official. Thanks!
Yes, after Christmas I'm ready for a 6-month, twice a year vacation to Hawaii or somewhere else warm. 😆
